Cosmetic Dermatology – a New Look on Face Care

By: Dr. Jack Silver

Probably, there is no such worried and widespread cosmetic ailment like getting older. Many people will try to do everything to stop aging of their skin. They even can go for surgery just to get rid of wrinkles and furrows, which significantly add years to their faces. Laser resurfacing, Botox, and facelifts are the most common ways used to hold up the aging effect.

More and more people give their testimonies about the effect cosmetic dermatology has on their appearance and the beneficiary effect that the treatment has in their struggle with the aging and all of its visible influences on the skin, such as scarring, blemishes, wrinkles and many more.

Unfortunately age makes our skin lose its resilience and therefore it becomes too loose and not as able to maintain a proper texture. This is why wrinkles appear on the face. Also, age impairs the ability of skin to heal itself without any external help, as it gets thinner and much more untenable to environmental changes. Such things like stress, sun damage, and smoking can worsen this aging process and make your skin look much older then you really are. Consequently, this becomes a much greater problem for individuals that undergo the stress effects on their skin, and as well those people who are timid on the issue of their age.

Though surgical dermatology can offer lots of various solutions, cosmetic dermatology is now most of the times performed with the use of injections and lasers. These almost absolutely safe means are perfect for those who want to go through a series of medications, same as someone would occasionally visit barber shops to get hair cuts. Such things like laser resurfacing, thermage, radiesse, and Botox can all be proceeded within one or two hours. These medications are almost not painful and don't demand long period for complete recovery.

It is quite usual for people to start thinking about medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, or cosmetic dermatology (especially the last one) when top brands' treatments for damaged skin and wrinkles don't work as they should to make the aging effects turn back. Anyway, such treatments are not only used for aging. The modern laser technology can treat such things like varicose or spider veins when applied to skin care.

The most frequently used injections are radiesse and Botox. These little injections simply act like fillers to the skin's fine lines and help to re-contour the shape of the face, making precise and small lifts to loosening skin. Also, radiesse increases the collagen's growth, stretching the skin and augmenting its health after the treatment is completes. Laser is also simple and efficient for vein and facial treatment.
