A similar sleep disorder, periodic limb movement disorder may involve different body limbs during sleep, causing interrupted rest. Treatments for these sleep disorders may include medication, lifestyle changes and alternative remedies listed above.

Narcolepsy is indicated by uncontrolled sleep periods during the day as well as short-term loss of muscle control during emotional times. Some of the sleep disorder treatments for narcolepsy include counseling, medication and behavioral treatments.
