From Wikipedia, the
free encyclopedia Dehli Multan
road was constructed by Delhi Sultanate ruler Sher Shah Suri (1486-1545) for
the communication purposes in the areas between Multan and Delhi.There were
small posts after every some miles where fresh blooded horses were ready to
receive message from one post to another.Messages from Delhi court were
reaching thousands miles away Multan within days.Some parts of this road are
still in use in Pakistani areas and the road leading from Pakpattan to
Multan still bears the name of Dehli Multan road.Punjab Road Transport
Department still using this name on its milestones in this area.In Pakistani
side,this road crossing from cities
Pakpattan,Arifwala,Gaggoo,Burewala,Vehari then to Multan.
