Frontal Hair Loss Is A Common Ongoing Problem That Should Be Treated Early

By: Rob D. Hawkins

Has your frontal hair loss starting to turn into a full blown case of male pattern baldness? Are you looking to stop frontal hair loss before it turns into something more? Is you answered yes to either one of these question this informational article is for you.

For many the term frontal hair loss equates to a receding hair line which is often seen as one of the first signs of male pattern baldness. As the condition progresses a bald spot may form around the crown, along with noticeable thinning on top.

By some estimates frontal hair loss linked to male pattern balding accounts for nine out of every ten cases of permanent loss of hair in men. Women are not immune either, with 1 out of every 4 or 5 women showing signs of male pattern baldness, though its appearance is much different. The reason for the differing frequencies has to do with blood testosterone levels.

For frontal hair loss linked to male pattern baldness to occur a serious of events has to take place starting with the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). This conversion occurs within the hair cell resulting in the creation of dihydrotestosterone. Over time (4 to 8 years), the accumulation of DHT starts to shrink thousands of  follicle leading to massive follicle damage, and ultimately follicle death. When your hair profile begins to recede it is likely that the other signs of MPB won’t be far behind. Thus halting or slowing male pattern baldness before it causes severe thinning and ultimately total balding should be a top priority.

The reason for taking swift action can be found in the scientific research numbers for minoxidil. Of course you may recognize the name minoxidil (Rogaine) as the number one treatment for male pattern baldness. The numbers state that minoxidil is effective between 87 and 92 percent of the time at slowing male pattern baldness, but only successful at producing new growth from 20 to 40 percent of the time. There are no research numbers for restoring frontal hair loss but common sense would suggest that the above numbers could be applied.

What Next? If every day you look in the mirror on to find your frontal hair loss getting a little worse now is the time to stop frontal hair loss before it gets out of control and your restoration options become limited to hair transplant surgery. Currently there are a number of highly acclaimed hair re-growth products specially formulated to slow and possibly reverse pattern balding with frontal hair loss that are both affordable and easy to use. If you are one of the over 50 million men in the United States alone being impacted by male pattern baldness with frontal hair loss I know what you are going through. I am one as well, and am here to tell you that with swift action you can slow this condition to a crawl, allowing you to keep your natural head of hair for many years to come.
