Export and Industry Bank (PSE: EIBA and EIBB), also known as
Exportbank, is a commercial bank in the Philippines. It acquired Urban Bank
in 2001 after the former collapsed due to its closure by the Bangko Sentral
ng Pilipinas.

Chairman Jaime C. Gonzalez has brought with
him the energy needed to wake up this sleeping giant. His hands on
management style and enthusiasm has already stirred various divisions to try
to emulate his aspiration for excellence.
With the hiring of key management people, Nilo L. Pacheco, Titong S.
Tanjuatco and Benjo R. Arcinas, Export Bank appears to be moving on the
right track to become another active player in the banking industry.
Newly refurbished, relocated and renovated branches are attracting investors
and borrowers alike, resulting to a more stable deposit base and lower bad
loan ratios.
In November 2009, the Board of Directors of the Bank announced that they
have accepted the purchase offer of Banco de Oro Universal Bank for their
entire branch network for an undisclosed amount of money. They expect the
transaction to be concluded by the end of the year.
This will leave the thrift subsidiary, the insurance and trading units as
the remaining components of Exportbank
